Little India is a vibrant, bustling, colorful place in Singapore, with a quaint atmosphere and a happy hubbub of noises, tangs, and sights.
Located smack-in-the-middle of this turmoil, Park Hotel 22 looks like a bastion of monochromatic sobriety. A huge contrast from its vibrant surroundings. If you prefer not to hear and see any of the uproar below you can opt for their deluxe rooms.
If the thought of no windows makes you feel a bit claustrophobic, you’ll be happy to hear that the modern decorations of this attractive, albeit small-roomed, hotel make up for the lack of view.
The Deluxe Room ($103/night) is well decorated and satisfies the checklist for a standard hotel’s basic necessities: Free Wi-Fi, light refreshments and a flat screen television.
Alternatively, you can also pay slightly more for a Superior Room ($119/night) which comes with windows.
Plus, you’ll be close to Bugis and the Rochor MRT station. Both are accessible within a few minutes of walking!

If you appreciate a modern, minimalistic and functional décor, Hotel Kai is a tech-advanced option that will make your staycation efficient, if not romantic.
For our budget of under $150, you’ll have 3 room options to choose from: Bunk Room, Studio Room and Premier Twin Room. The only drawback is that these rooms tend to be significantly smaller compared to the other rooms listed.
The Bunk Room ($109/night), fit for 2 adults or 1 adult and 1 child, is the smallest at 6sqm but comes fully equipped with 2 bunk beds, an en suite bathroom with a rain shower, flat screen TV, free Wi-Fi.
If you wish to opt for a slightly more spacious room and share the bed with your friend or partner, the Studio Room ($116/night) at 8sqm will be a great alternative as it comes with a queen bed.
The only drawback (or maybe not for some) is that there’s no privacy for their toilets and shower. Meaning that whatever business you do, will be in plain sight of your family member or partner. Food for thought.
For a larger space and a little more privacy for the toilet and shower, you can opt for the Premier Twin Room ($123/night) at 10sqm. The room facilities are also pretty comprehensive with basic items like a tea/coffee maker, air conditioning, flat-screen TV and Free Wi-Fi among other things.

Their Standard Single Room ($129/night) is pretty comfortable in size at 12sqm fit for one person. There’s lots of storage space for your shopping bags or luggage.

The combination of wood veneer, brown curtains, beige walls, and white linens has their rooms looking quaint and inviting.
